Nope by Heath Brougher

I am no 'Ism-er.'
I do not stand on
the Styrofoam shoulders
of society's tainted ideologies.

I cannot suffocate within the crowd.

I light out for the elsewheres—
leaving behind a world
dizzy from the dark drivel abound
and scared of its own shadow—

just as it should be.
